Candy Cane Train

We're lucky enough every Christmas to be able to come to Hawaii to visit family.  It's terribly rough, but someone's got too do it right?!  LOL!  We were only on Oahu for one day, but we made it count.  We took Kieran and his cousin Sage to see Santa and to ride on the Candy Cane Train.  They had a great time catching up with one another and guessing what Santa might bring them for Christmas.  It's such a great age 5 1/2 & 6. They still love everything about Christmas and totally believe in Santa and their elves. It's going to be sad when these days are gone.  So I'm enjoying every moment of it while it's here.  By the time I post this we'll be on Maui, visiting with Grandpa & Grandma. So lots more too come! I hope you all have a very blessed Christmas.

Cookies, Caroling & Christmas!

It's that wonderful time of year again...Christmas! I love seeing how excited all the children get when the tree's go up, the lights go on and talk of Santa's imminent return begins. Kieran has been busy this holiday season too, with a class Christmas cookie party, as well as his schools annual Christmas show.  He runs down the stairs every morning to open his Star Wars advent calender and then comes home every afternoon to go in search of his elf.  We've decorated our little Christmas tree.  We're going to Hawaii to visit Grandpa, Grandma & our cousin & Aunt.  Everyday he asks when do we leave...I'd say he's excited!  What are you doing for the holidays?

Thanksgiving Weekend

I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend. Kieran and I spent last Wednesday at The Met.  I love that he loves going to museums!  It was really fun exploring the few rooms we were able to get through before we had to go.  Thanksgiving day was spent with our lovely friends the Dooley's at their home in the suburbs. It's been unseasonably warm back here, which was great for all the boys. They got the chance to run around outside and battle the darkside. :)
