Trolling Tribeca

A couple of weekends ago we headed across the Hudson and into the City to wander around one of our favorite neighborhoods, Tribeca. The weather has finally decided it's going to cooperate and stay springing, so it was a perfect day to wander around and take picture's and grab brunch. There was one particular construction site that had this cool barrier up with stars (see below) blocking the actual construction going on. You've got to love that about NYC, it's the only place that turns the mundane into art. I suppose when you've only got a few square miles and 12 million people, you have to be creative. I love that about this city and it's people.

We headed over to a Tribeca main stay Bubby's but the wait was over and hour (boo) so we headed over to Odeon for brunch. The atmosphere was great, but the food was only so-so and honestly $90 for brunch is a bit insane unless the food is fantastic. But, are mood wasn't to be hampered by a so-so lunch, when the weather was so great. We took Kieran to the park to run of some of that never ending 5 year energy. I wish I could bottle that stuff, it'd fly off the shelves! We ended our lovely day by stopping off at the bookstore and grabbing coffee's and chocolate milk respectively before taking the short PATH ride home. I would strongly recommend a good day of trolling to anyone in the area.
